Bike BarnJoin the Bike Barn guys for for a fun Fall ride out of the Brookwood Community Center in Brookshire, TX.   Brookwood is an entrepreneurial community for adults with functional disabilities.

Distances: 30 or 60 miles

After the ride, get some of your HOLIDAY SHOPPING done at their fantastic Gift and Garden Center, where you can find many unique and handmade gifts.  And that’s not all, if you’re hungry be sure to grab a bite to eat in their very own Cafe…the food is delicious and enhanced by the smiles of the community.  Lunch often requires a reservation so be sure to plan ahead and book a spot – call – 281-375-2400.

Tour De Donut – Nov 4, 2012

Tour De DonutAnother year for Donuts and MS150 training starts with the annual Tour De Donut at Sun and Ski Sports Katy Mills.  Gear up with jersey pockets that can hold a dozen donuts so you can win the donut eating riding challenge route.

Registration details

The Tour de Donut is a unique bicycle race where riders embark on an appetizing 28-mile journey with rest stops along the way serving as many delectable donuts as you can eat. For EACH tasty donut consumed, the rider is awarded a tempting 5-minute time credit. Eat enough delicious donuts, and you can finish the race before you even started!

Instead of this mouth-watering challenge, riders can ride the 57-mile route shape up for the BP MS 150. This is a BP MS 150 recommended ride!

Additional Information

As with past years, the 28 mile Donut Ride is a timed event. Riders will be provided with an individual timing chip the morning of the ride. Without the timing chip, participants will not be eligible for the prizes associated with the donut-consuming fun of the 28 mile ride!!!





Katy Triathlon in Firethorne

Coming up again this year by the Katy Rotary club is the Katy Triathlon which is headquartered at the Firethorne Community Center.  The Katy Triathlon is a great sprint triathlon for newbies as well as speed demons that want to go all out for a short distance on October 28, 2012.

The race consists of a quick 500 meter open water swim in the local neighborhood pond, with a 16 mile road bike leg along old Highway 90, then wrapping up with a 3 mile run around the neighborhood.

Katy Flatland Century 2012

Katy Flatland Century 2012With 7 different route lengths, there is no excuse to get out and ride this Sunday July 22 at the annual Katy Flatland.

The ride starts at 6:30am from Rhodes Stadium in Katy.
